We are the awesome design department at Vaudeville Ventures.

We do everything you expect and a bunch of stuff you wouldn't.

Design influences everything we do at Vaudeville. Our team is a cross-disciplinary group of product designers, visual strategists, filmmakers, animators, photographers and illustrators. We believe that design is contextual, inspiration comes in many forms, and that we are committed to integrating design thinking into every project Vaudevillians works on. This space is dedicated to sharing our creative's works and the process behind them.

(a.k.a. the woods)

At VV I do a bunch of visual design and illustration work. I have the most fun making icons, designing web pages, and drawing my co-workers.

When I'm not practicing bad posture at my desk, I'm usually fantasizing about garlic bread or contemplating life's big questions like " do solo cups ever get lonely?" I also like to embarrass myself in front of strangers through improv.

Darin Spicer

Lead Design Strategist

DCAD&Pratt '15 · from Pennsylvania

I ideate and create for the Vaudeville team. We do a little bit of everything here, but most of the time you can find me wire-framing new experiences or bringing to life our clients' next big vision.

If I'm not sifting through my misnamed photoshop layers, I'm probably at a concert, cooking something unhealthy, or binge watching the next netflix original series.

Aside from leading the design team, I'm mostly involved in product design. Some of my favorite tasks are creating UI guidelines, rapid-prototyping, and workflow-optimization.

When I'm not at our hip soho office, I like to zip around in the city for good coffee and places to spend my afternoons making watercolor sketches. I also love craft fairs, karaoke, camping and hottubs.

I've been part of VV's design team since March and it's been a great experience. I've been mostly working on a very cool e-commerce site called Adverator, doing UX research proposing new interfaces and designing some of its look and feel.

Aside from designing on Sketch and prototyping with Invision, I like to play soccer, go to art shows and learn how to surf.

I studied Multimedia Design in Hong Kong with background in Printing. I love doing branding, typographic and infographic projects. It is great to do so at VV!

In my leisure time, I like watching inspiring, love and war movies, hiking and drinking coffee. Just bought a new camera, I would love to hang out and take photos together around the city.

Rutgers & Parsons · NJ & NY

I studied Science at Rutgers and Design at Parsons. When I'm in VV, I utilize Branding and Advertising concepts that I've learned in Parsons through different projects and it's been a wonderful experience for me to witness how things become real.

During free time, I snuggle with my cat, Song (nickname for Snowflake in Korean) or watch an inspiring movie with beer in my hand.

Since the beginning of March I began working as a design intern at VV. While in the office I have the wonderful privilege of working alongside the VV team to produce UI designs, visually cohesive pitch decks, and one pagers.

When I’m not grueling through coursework I love going on hikes, continuing my quest to visit devilishly delicious food joints, sketching, and binge watching Syfy shows.

My two favorite things are chihuahuas and creating stuff. I’ve done work in many different mediums because of this, and love to use knowledge from outside experiences to generate more creative and effective ideas as I’m user-focused designer. I also like pomeranians too.

Other than polishing decks, I spend most of my time on designing and testing a deck making system for VV as well as making an advertising campaign for VV.

During my spare time, I love hunting for good food, glaring for unique clothes and looking at the billboards on the big apple. Time to time, I love being a tech-geek, trying out new devices and stuff.

PUJ '10 - Pratt '17 · from Colombia

When I'm not working in the new VV's digital content strategy (yet to be launched), I get involved with whatever strategists and designers need me for: research, ideation and design.

Aside from that, I immerse in research for my masters' at Pratt, work tirelessly for my foundation fighting gender-based violence, sweat my beloved sweets to hot yoga, and when not having a trip ahead, get consumed in wanderlust.

At VV I've been working mostly on branding design and concepts for different clients, along with creating content for VV's own social media.

When I am not designing logos and helping with decks at VV, I spend half of my time creating digital illustrations while a Netflix show I've seen a million times plays in the background, and the other half hanging out with my friends.
